When a broken foot helps you find miracles

Hi Friends,

Is there a miracle in a broken foot?

Hilary Craner, found one.

On just the second day of a week-long trip for their 19th anniversary, Hilary broke her foot and ankle. Feeling disappointed, sad, and discouraged at the long healing process, she had a realization.

"The miracle isn’t how fast or slow the healing happens, the miracle is the fact that it can even heal at all.”

Part of seeking and expecting miracles is seeing and recognizing them. Sometimes our Red Seas part, or we notice the orchestration of God in our lives in hindsight. But when we choose to see the His fingerprints along the way, we will notice that God’s miracles are everywhere.

  • Seeing the miracle of healing helps us recognize the miracles of medicine that help pain subside and health care workers know how to get bones back in place.

  • Seeing the miracle of peace helps us recognize the miracles of friendships made long ago that bring us comfort in our trials and sadness today.

  • Seeing the miracle of joy helps us recognize the miracle of the earth’s breathtaking beauty, helping us have a sense of wonder, reverence, and gratitude.

Every day, there are miracles to be seen!
