Three ways to create a personal spiritual reset

Hi Friends!

It’s that in-between, resetting season again.

Whether we have kids in school or not, this time of year gets us thinking about how to re-establish our priorities and goals. It’s a time to give ourselves a boost of spiritual homework so we can continue to show up as the kind of faithful women we want to be.

Sheri Dew shared a few ways to do this on the Magnify podcast:

Study tip 1: “Be in the scriptures on a regular basis because that is the language the Spirit uses.” By studying how the the people in the scriptures learned how to discern promptings, we can become more in tune with how the Spirit communicates with us individually.

Study tip 2: Study the lives of the prophets. “You can see the hand of the Lord in their lives in the most profound way.” Seeing how the prophets were guided and prepared can help us see the Lord’s hand in our lives more clearly.

Study tip 3: Know our testimony fundamentals: God is our Father; Jesus Christ is our Savior; the Book of Mormon is the word of God; Joseph Smith restored Christ’s gospel; and we have a prophet today. “If you can get a testimony of those things, you have a testimony. ... Now, give yourself a chance to ask questions, to keep growing.”
