How we can engage in more miracles

Hi Friends!

Two things are reminding us of the joy and awesome privilege of being part of God’s great work.

  • First, this week on the Magnify podcast, Kaylen Nelsen shared that rather than praying for her own mountains to be moved, she prays to help others with theirs. She simply asks, “I want to be part of miracles. Heavenly Father, what mountains do you need moved? And how can I be a part of that? How can I engage in miracles?”

We love this idea to ask God in such a specific way for the chance to be part of His miracles.

  • Second, we keep going back to Sharon Eubank’s words that we can be the ones making miracles happen for people around us. “We can start today to be the miracle in each other’s lives. ... They don’t have to be big things; we just have to have the long view that it’s going to make the difference.”

This reminds us that we’re not meant to climb our mountains alone. We can look at who God has placed as the miracle workers in our lives, ready to help us forward and upward. And we can pray to see the mountains others are facing, and help be a miracle on their journey.

“Jesus Christ made people His highest priority. He taught us to love God first and then turn and really look at each other, because heaven isn’t sky and clouds; it is faces. I love this thought! And people aren’t interruptions to what we’re trying to do; they’re the reason we’re here.”
