Want to feel more of Christ’s love in your life? This will help.

Hello Friends!

With Christmas right around the corner, stress, and overwhelm and ALL the other feelings might be hitting hard. What if for the next five minutes, we shift our focus away from the to-do lists and mental loads we are carrying? We can pick it all back up at the end of this email, just let it go for a few moments. Are you in? YES!

Take a deep breath in

Let it out.

Though we are about to celebrate the birth of Christ, it is important to remember that His gifts, His love, His sacrifice for us—is eternal. It has no expiration date, and thus stretches far beyond Christmas time. President Bonnie Cordon reminded us of this in her recent Christmas Devotional address.

Christ’s love is always there, but sometimes it can feel difficult to receive it.

So how do we receive a gift that never stops giving? How do we receive Christ in our lives? How do we create space for His love all year long, not just in December?

Inspired by President Cordon’s full talk, here are a few ways we can become receivers this season. and from now on!

Things to help us receive Christ’s love. Feel better in 5!

1 - Remember that “receiving is an action word.” We must not delay seeing Christ. - Bonnie Cordon

2 - Prepare room for Christ. Engaging in prayer, scripture study, and daily worship creates space in our lives regularly to receive Him.

3 - Allow Christ to lead our journey. Trusting Him, His plan, and His timing for us will always take us where we need to go.

4 - Receiving Christ is Sharing Christ. - Bonnie Cordon

5 - Christ can meet us where we are. “Wherever our humble needs arise, we can and will receive answers to our whispered prayers.” - Bonnie Cordon

At times we can feel as if we have nothing left to give—like putting effort into our relationship with Christ is too much to ask. But not only does Christ meet us where we are, He also takes what we have and turns it into enough.

As we seek Christ first and make an effort to receive Him in our everyday lives, everything changes.

We can trust in Him even amid sometimes overwhelming circumstances. the guidance, even miracles, that come into our lives will probably not be in the hustle and bustle, nor on stages or in stadiums, but in the quiet places where we live and work - where we go for help. Wherever our humble needs arise, we can and will receive answers to our whispered prayers.
— President Bonnie Cordon
