How to spread God’s love
Hello again! How has the week been so far?
Friend to Magnify, Maria Eckersley, wrote that when well-meaning neighbors came by during a time when her family needed help, “I lay on the floor, trusting that if I stayed still enough, they would give up and go home.”
Guess what? They didn’t leave. They stayed and cleaned up the Eckersley’s yard.
Just like those friends who stayed, undaunted by the closed door, God’s love stays, waiting for us to open up and receive it.
Camille N. Johnson said, “Because we love God and have covenanted to serve Him, we can partner with the Savior to help provide temporal and spiritual relief for those in need—and in the process find our own relief in Jesus Christ.”
At times we are the ones who desperately need the outpouring of His love, and other times, we are blessed to be the ones who are witnesses to others of that love. Either way, God’s love is always there for all of us in abundance.

See your purpose:
Look back at the way you’ve been directed and needed by God. Looking back with faith helps us see how our path was not accidental but guided by Him. When we can see our divine purpose, it’s easier to help others see theirs.
Ask to be a witness of His loving kindness:
Trust in daily guidance and bravery to act on promptings. God’s love leads the way for each of us to be His hands, making the world a more joyful place.
Trust the power of simplicity:
Smiles, hugs, texts, prayers. Quick drop by to say hello from the porch. Quiet service, like a glimpsing a butterfly’s wings, is a gentle reminder to see and be the good of God’s love in the world.
Find Jesus moments:
Notice the outsider and welcome them in; point out the small acts of kindness; elevate the good you see others doing; follow Christ’s example and see who usually goes unseen.
Be open to receiving love:
We sometimes close off to love because it doesn’t look familiar in the way someone shares it, or because we think we're being a burden needing it. We’re each blessed with unique abilities to help each other. It’s a gift to give and accept God’s love in the form of service however it is given.
